Jennifer Woolfsmith is an organ donation advocate, donor mother, and senior executive dedicated to advancing awareness, research, and system improvement in organ donation and transplantation. Her daughter, Mackenzy, became an organ donor in 2012 following her sudden death at 22 months of age, an experience that continues to shape Jennifer's commitment to improving outcomes for patients and families.
Jennifer believes that meaningful and lasting progress requires courageous conversations, collaboration across disciplines, and a willingness to challenge existing systems. She has been an active contributor to the organ donation and transplantation community for more than a decade, supporting research, public awareness, patient and family engagement, and policy development.
Professionally, Jennifer is Vice President, Global Sustainability & ESG at Borouge International, where she leads sustainability strategy and organizational transformation initiatives. Over a 25-year career spanning Europe, Canada, and the United States, she has held leadership roles across finance, commercial, and strategic functions, including serving as Chief of Staff to the CEO. Jennifer is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), a Project Management Professional (PMP), and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.
She also serves as Vice-Chair of the Equal Voice Foundation and as a Director of the Chemistry Industry Association of Canada (CIAC).
